Description
The Xantrex SHS2 is a high-performance hybrid inverter offering robust energy conversion for residential and commercial solar systems. With a rated AC input voltage of 220/230/240V (±1%, L + N + PE), it supports a wide input voltage range of 90–280V in normal mode and 170–280V in UPS mode, adapting seamlessly to different grid conditions. Operating at a frequency of 50Hz/60Hz (auto-sensing), the inverter delivers a rated power of 6kW and peak power of up to 12kVA. It supports multiple voltage outputs (208/220/230/240V), maintaining a near-perfect power factor of 1.0 and a THD of less than 1%.
The Xantrex SHS2 supports parallel operation of up to 9 units and is equipped with a dual MPPT solar charge controller (60–450VDC range), offering a maximum PV input current of 30A and supporting up to 7500W of input power. It handles a maximum PV open circuit voltage of 510V and provides combined solar and AC charging of up to 135A. The inverter is designed to accommodate both lithium and lead-acid batteries, with a nominal voltage of 48V, a floating charge voltage of 54VDC, and overcharge protection set at 60VDC.
The system includes a responsive HMI with a touchscreen LCD and interfaces via RS485/RS232/USB/Dry Contact. Optional Wi-Fi monitoring adds enhanced control and visibility. Housed in a durable IP20-rated enclosure, it operates in temperatures ranging from 0°C to 40°C, with a storage range of -15°C to 60°C, and relative humidity tolerance of 5%–95% (non-condensing). The inverter supports a maximum operating altitude of 4500m, with derating required above 1000m. Compact yet powerful, the Xantrex SHS2 measures 310×570×120mm and weighs just 12.5kg, making it ideal for modern solar installations requiring performance, flexibility, and reliability.
